Download a selection of samples and sounds from the often overlooked analogue drum machine from Yamaha, the MR-10 to use in your Logic Pro or Logic Pro X songs.
The Yamaha MR-10 drum machine is a little 'off the beaten track' for producers and indeed Yamaha. One of the few examples of an analogue rhythm composer produced by the company, the MR-10 has some great sounds to add to your percussion arsenal.
Released in 1982, the machine itself composed of a row of small rectangular buttons to select your pattern, a row of knobs and some somewhat pointless (well, in 1982 anyway) drum pads. I say they're pointless because you couldn't sequence them in the machine, therefore after some playing around you'd never practically use them. Gladly they have a purpose for sampling now and are therefore a welcome addition!
The sounds themselves are actually really good and in more recent times the MR-10 has become a popular device for the modding community, with various functionality such as MIDI sound-mangling knobs and individual outputs added.
